At Lindale we work in partnership with parents. This means that we have frequent informal conversations with parents about their child’s learning, we welcome parents being involved and asking about what their child is doing in school.
We also hold meetings for parents where you are invited to make an appointment to discuss your child’s progress and look at their work. The first of these in the autumn term is usually a few weeks in, and gives parents an opportunity to talk to the teacher about how their child has settled in to the new class and set targets. Our parents’ meetings early in the spring term gives information regarding progress towards achieving or exceeding the year group expectations.
In the summer term, parents will receive a written report. Our report format also provides the opportunity for each child to write their own thoughts on their achievements. Alongside the report, parents will receive a summary of attendance, attainment and progress for the year.
